Nelson Avenue Water Main Improvement Project (PW-26-12)

All pre-bid questions concerning the contract documents and the work contained therein must be submitted in writing to, and received by, John Livsey P.E., Town Engineer, 201 Bedford Street, Lexington, MA 02420, before Monday, February 2, 2026. To bid on this project, Contractors must be prequalified in accordance with 700 CMR 14.00, Prequalification of Contractors and Subcontractors. Only bids submitted by contractors on the official prequalification contractor list or waiver list will be considered for award. Prequalification of Contractors by MassDOT. MassDOT prequalification of contractors, with the class of work as Bridge-Construction, for the project with an estimated value of $375,000 will be required. Documents will be available to any individual or firm. The work involves the following major item (s): Installation of approximately 7,300 linear feet of 8” and 6” ductile iron water main, approximately 1,700 linear feet of HDPE service piping, fittings, fire hydrants, ductile iron gate valves, temporary water main bypass and other related water system work on Benson Road, South Street, State Street, Lenox Street, Hoover Road, Oak Street, Trudeau Lane, South Cross Street, Ash Street, and Whelan Road. Additional work includes temporary and permanent trench paving of approximately 9,000 linear feet, and all other related work as specified.
